I love the Art Bead Scene blog: http://artbeadscene.blogspot.com/
Because my power went out the day after hurricane Irene swept through the Philly area, I couldn't quite finish my piece, take photos, and post to the group's flickr pool on time. Instead, I finished one day late, on September 1. But the necklace is finished, thanks to the beading I did by candlelight earlier this week.http://www.etsy.com/listing/80942187/one-of-a-kind-black-green-gold-mother-of

Beading By Candlelight
Before hurricane Irene hit the East Coast, I purchased a battery operated led Ott light, which came in handy when the power went out last Sunday. With help from a battery operated radio, the Ott light, and an entire row of candles, I was able to continue work on a couple of spiral rope beading projects. Never say that beaders aren't resourceful!

A Blog Is Launched (Finally)
I've been threatening to start this blog for months, many months and finally, here I am a week after exhibiting for the second time at Bead Fest Philadelphia. As always, the show was great fun, and I met plenty of new bead friends. I took a few pictures and wanted to take more, especially some photos of my fabulous helper, Maggie Juliano, but I got so caught up in the show that I forgot all about my camera except to share cat pictures with fellow cat ownders.
